The Globe's Catherine Foster follows up Barrington Stage's purchase of the Berkshire Music Hall in Pittsfield, which was formally announced yesterday. But the Berkshire Eagle, which broke the story yesterday morning, has slightly fuller coverage. In its lead story by Tony Dobrowolski, Pittsfield's mayor calls the deal "a major building block in the economic revitalization of the city of Pittsfield." And a related story says Rickie Lee Jones has been booked to play the hall July 28, a date that will go ahead.
