OK, maybe it's bad to joke - they did have some nasty floods out there not long ago. But I just got the lineup for this summer's Green River Festival and it's coming right out of its banks with good tunes. A pre-fest welcome concert on Thursday night features Lori McKenna, Mark Erelli and Peter Mulvey. Friday is a Katrina's Piano Fund benefit with Louisianans the Iguanas, Sonny Landreth and Marcia Ball. (OK, double apologies on the flood joke.) Saturday features Fountains of Wayne, John Hiatt, the North Mississippi All-Stars, the great and greatly under-appreciated Alejandro Escovedo and many more. The site is on the grounds of Greenfield Community College, near the itnersection of I-91 and Rte. 2. Hit the web site for deets and tix.
