David Wade to WBZ

OK, this isn't exactly arts, but when I have a chance to get something out here before the bigs, why not... Former Fox 25 10 p.m. anchor David Wade has fetched up at WBZ, coanchoring the 5am, 6am and noon newscasts with Paula Ebben. A ways down from working the top-rated Fox 10 o'clock with Maria Stephanos - and if someone reported exactly what happened there, I haven't heard it - but still, he's back on the air, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him moving up. Wade to co-anchor WBZ-TV News’ Morning and Noon Newscasts

with co-anchor Paula Ebben

Boston, MA – November 5, 2007 -  Award-winning journalist David Wade joins WBZ-TV News as anchor of the station’s weekday newscasts at 5AM, 6AM, and Noon with co-anchor Paula Ebben; it was announced today by Jeff Kiernan, WBZ-TV and TV38 News Director.  Wade will debut on WBZ-TV News on Monday, November 12. Current co-anchor Scott Wahle will be assigned to the “TV38 News at 9” co-anchoring with Sara Underwood, and he will also report for WBZ-TV News.

native raised in Somerville, Wade most recently worked at

Boston

’s WFXT-TV where he was a weekday anchor at 5PM and 10PM.  He joined WFXT-TV in 1998 and spent four years as a general assignment reporter before being named anchor.

Over the course of his distinguished broadcast career, Wade has been nominated for 20 Boston/New England Emmy Awards and has won 15 including Best Anchor, Best Reporter, and three awards for Best News Writing.  He also won an Associated Press award in 2002.

David is a 1995 graduate of

Emerson

College

with a BA degree in broadcast journalism.  He graduated from

Tewksbury

High School

in 1991.  David is married to broadcast journalist Bianca de la Garza, and the couple has a two year old daughter.

My wife and I would like to comment on David
Wade. He may be a great guy but he comes across as arrogant, conceited, and no personality. Paula and Kate appear to work overtime in covering up for his lack of on-air personality. We have waited this long to comment to give him a chance to loosen up, but he does not project the WBZ image.
Solution - bring back Wally.

I totally agree with John and his wife comment regarding Wade. Humility is a must! Please get ride of that wise guy, I know everything about anything attitude. I'm so disgusted with it that I no longer watch wbz news in the morning... Do us all a favor and get ride of him!
