Cohasset isn't exactly convenient to Beverly, but you can add the South Shore Music Circus to the list of theaters courting disappointed North Shore Music Theatre fans left high and dry by NSMT's closing. The Music Circus is offering one free ticket for every ticket purchased for its Celebrity Live Concert Series, which includes everyone from Susan Tedeschi to Engelbert Humperdinck (right). Tix must be ordered by June 30 and proof of NSMT membership will be required. The full release with all the details is after the jump. I also hear that Salem Theatre Company has join ArtsBoston's planned discount program for NSMT subs, which is still being pulled together.

The recent announcement of the closure of the North Shore Music Theatre has left the venue’s longtime subscribers without benefit of memberships paid for in advance.
In an effort to assist NSMT patrons with their live entertainment needs, the South Shore Music Circus offers NSMT’s 2009 subscribers the opportunity to get one free ticket for every ticket purchased for all shows in the CELEBRITY LIVE CONCERT SERIES at the Music Circus in Cohasset, MA.
Proof of membership will be required for purchase during this special offer. Tickets must be ordered by June 30th.
“We are saddened to hear of the closure of the North Shore Music Theatre in Beverly. As operators of two long-standing theatres in the round in eastern Massachusetts, we appreciate the rich entertainment history and landmark status associated with these unique and intimate venues, and some of that will be lost with this closure,” said Vincent G. Longo, COO/Executive Producer of the South shore Music Circus in Cohasset and the Cape Cod Melody Tent in Hyannis.
“As members of the live entertainment community for nearly 60 years, and as non-profit theatres ourselves,” Mr. Longo continued, “we want to help out NSMT’s 2009 subscribers by providing them with a world-class entertainment alternative this summer. Our free ticket offer for shows at the South Shore Music Circus fits the bill.”
North Shore Music Theatre subscribers interested in taking advantage of the free ticket offer should call the South Shore Music Circus box office at 781-383-9850, Monday through Friday between 10 am and 5:30 pm, and between 12:30 pm and 5:30 pm on weekends.

That's good news for the fans! It's still sad that the NSMT has closed though. But I'm gonna check out the schedule and see what I like.
