OK, not really. But there is a Newburyport Documentary Film Festival benefit later this week tied in to "The Fighter," a big screen drama which stars Mark Wahlberg as Lowell boxing legend Micky Ward (right) and Christian Bale as his brother. The feature film is being shot on Ward's native turf on Lowell right now, but the project began with a 2001 documentary short film by Lowell native Keith Dorrington. That movie, called "Not Over Till The Count of 10," will screen Thursday night at the Firehouse Center for the Arts in Newburyport as a benefit for the film festival. Dorrington and Leslie Varrelman, who are executive producers of the feature version of "The Fighter," will be on hand for a post-screening reception and Q&A. The event also includes a screening of "Elegy for the Elswick Envoy," an award-winning short from the 2008 festival. And there will be food and a cash bar from Not Your Average Joe's. All this for $15. Get your tickets here or at the door.
