Stoneham Theatre is seeking 20 Boston-area a cappella groups to sing a 20-minute opening act for one of the performances of the theatre’s New England premiere of "Perfect Harmony," Sept. 9 through Oct. 3. The play directed by Andrew Grosso and written by Grosso and The Essentials is a "glee-fully cut-throat a capella comedy" set in the world of high school singing groups. It premiered at the 2006 New York Fringe Festival, and is headed for an off-Broadway run after Stoneham. There's no money involved for the singing groups, but they'll be able to sell their wares and themselves during intermission and after the show in the 350-seat theater’s lobby. Interested?
