Rebecca Meyers is a filmmaker and programmer who serves as Associate Director of Studio7Arts, a Cambridge production studio. Until 2009, she worked at the Harvard Film Archive as Archive Coordinator. The ICA Boston will exhibit her films this fall in its exhibition of the 2010 James and Audrey Foster Prize finalists. Because, you know, she is one. And now she's going to be the part-time film coodinator for ArtsEmerson. Her pick follows the selection of former MFA concert guy Dan Hirsch as ArtsEmerson's part-time music programmer. Two pretty cool hires, even part-time.
ArtsEmerson said she'll program the 170-seat Bright Family Screening Room at The Paramount Center, including "film programming related to the live performing arts series previously announced by ArtsEmerson, as well as other independent, repertory and foreign films, a student-curated series, classics, and regular screenings of films for children." Sounds like a pretty full plate.
